Services

Residential, commercial, agricultural and equestrian developmentWe provide a range of services to a mix of clients. We often work as part of a multi disciplinary team with architects, designers, agricultural consultants, highway consultants, ecologists, heritage experts and surveyors. A summary of the type of services we can provide are set out below:

Planning and Listed Building Applications

We can prepare and submit your planning or listed building application. Once the application is submitted we will track its progress, liaise with the Parish Council, the local community and the Local Planning Authority (LPA). We will negotiate any requirements set out by the LPA and if you wish, speak at the planning committee on your behalf. We place the highest priority on keeping you informed on the progress of your application at every stage of the way.

Planning Appeals

We provide advice on the appeal process. We can explain the details of the appeal process and timescales involved and give an opinion on what we think your chances of success will be. We will negotiate with the Local Planning Authority to establish whether there is an alternative way forward. If an appeal is the only route we will submit your appeal, track its progress, if necessary attend the site visit, and most importantly keep you informed at every stage of the way.

Enforcement cases

We also deal with enforcement issues and retrospective planning applications. Sometimes unforeseen planning issues can arise either when you are buying or selling land or property. In such cases we understand the importance of acting quickly and efficiently and we work closely with the Local Planning Authority to negotiate a resolution.

Third party support

Planning design and applicationYou or your property can be adversely affected by a proposal in your local area. In those circumstances we can advise you or your neighbourhood group on relevant issues that you can put to the planning authority. We can act on your behalf to make representations during the planning application or appeal process.

Neighbourhood Plans

'Localism' is at the top of the planning agenda. The emerging 'Neighbourhood Plan' concept will mean that local Neighbourhood Groups, Parish Councils and Business Groups could be responsible for devising their own local plan. We can work with small or large local groups to help them assemble the necessary resources and to put forward a viable and professional plan. This will include assistance in working with the wider community at every stage of the process.

Planning Talks and Workshops

Does your business, community group, school, college or neighbourhood have an interest in planning? If so, and you would like to explore planning in more detail we are happy to come and visit to give a talk on the current planning system to cover the opportunities in place and the challenges that planning can raise.
