Newsflash! Spring 2020 Update

Spring is in the air and despite the challenging times we are all facing, we want to reassure clients (old and new) that here at LP Planning we are remaining positive and focused and working through this. The current challenges won’t last forever and the economy will bounce back, and all of us and our businesses will be more robust and stronger as a result.

Our staff are working from home and making site visits, whilst following government advice on social distancing. The messages we have received to date from the local planning authorities, who we work closely with, is that their planning officers are continuing to work from home and are as determined to keep processing planning applications, appeals etc. as we are to keep the economy running.

So please be assured that as far as possible, it is ‘business as near normal’ and we are happy to help. If you have an enquiry about a possible new job, please call:

LP Planning Case Studies

Park Lane, Sailsbury, Wiltshire

Demolition of dwelling and outline planning permission for six dwellings.

LP Planning successfully obtained outline planning permission for the demolition of a five-bedroom detached bungalow and replacement with six units.

The site comprised a substantially extended detached bungalow in an expansive plot with large gardens to both the front and rear. The client was seeking to maximise the value of the plot before marketing the property.

The proposed design took account of the character of the neighboring plots and included a small-scale apartment block to the front of the plot and two chalet style dwellings to the rear. The application invited objections from local residents and was ‘called in’ to be determined by the Development Management Committee. LP Planning worked with the LPA to address the issues that were raised during the application process and we successful in negotiating a successful outcome for the client. Outline planning consent was granted for two detached chalet style dwellings and a single block containing four apartments.

In their feedback, the client was impressed with LP Planning’s services, especially our ‘realistic view of what can be achieved’. The client would be happy to recommend our services to others in the future.
