Spring is in the air and despite the challenging times we are all facing, we want to reassure clients (old and new) that here at LP Planning we are remaining positive and focused and working through this. The current challenges won’t last forever and the economy will bounce back, and all of us and our businesses will be more robust and stronger as a result.
Our staff are working from home and making site visits, whilst following government advice on social distancing. The messages we have received to date from the local planning authorities, who we work closely with, is that their planning officers are continuing to work from home and are as determined to keep processing planning applications, appeals etc. as we are to keep the economy running.
So please be assured that as far as possible, it is ‘business as near normal’ and we are happy to help. If you have an enquiry about a possible new job, please call:

Castles Homes Ltd instructed LP Planning to apply to South Gloucestershire Council for the conversion of the existing 21 bedroom hostel to 9 executive flats. The key issues in this case related to access and car parking, design and internal layout, impact on residential amenity and impact on the street scene.
Whilst the application was supported by the highway and planning officers it invited objections from over 60 local residents and was refused planning permission at the development control committee. We were instructed to appeal the decision and were successful and the appeal was allowed.
